Über mich / su di me / about me

Ich bin ein Frosch, der es nicht immer leicht gehabt hat. Viele haben mich kritisiert, ohne mir die Gelegenheit zu geben, mich zu verteidigen. Warum haben sie mich gekreuzigt? Und was wollte genau mein Künstler (Martin Kippenberger) sagen? Vielleicht solle jeder selbst versuchen, darauf eine Antwort zu geben, bevor er sich äußert oder unangemessen handelt, z. B. der Hungerstreik von Franz Pahl. Ich konnte mich schließlich dank des Landeshauptmannes Luis Durnwalder durchsetzen, der sagte: „Wenn du willst, dass ich dich nach der Ausstellung gehen lasse und dich nicht in den Keller bringe, musst du dich bemühen Gutes zu tun und den Menschen zeigen, dass du kein böser, sondern ein gutmütiger Frosch bist. Wir sind reich, aber keiner von uns versteht wirklich die Natur und du würdest genau der Richtige sein, um uns zu helfen: Du sollst durch ganz Südtirol wandern und dich um die Natur kümmern, damit du uns dann sagen kannst, was richtig oder falsch ist. Wenn du dich an die Vereinbarungen hältst, werde ich dir die Freiheit schenken.“ Ich habe das Angebot angenommen und nun bin ich dabei, meine Pflicht zu erfüllen.

Io sono una rana che ha passato tempi difficili. Molti mi hanno criticato senza darmi mai la possibilità di difendermi. Perché mi hanno crocifisso? E che messaggio voleva esattamente trasmettere il mio artista (Martin Kippenberger)? Forse ognuno dovrebbe cercare di dare una risposta a questa domanda prima di fare commenti o cose inadeguate, come lo sciopero della fame di Franz Pahl. Grazie al presidente della Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano Luis Durnwalder ho potuto mettermi alla prova quando mi ha detto: “Se dopo la mostra ti lascio andare (al posto di metterti in cantina) devi impegnarti e fare del bene, dimostrando alla gente che sei una rana dal cuore buono e che non vuoi fare del male a nessuno. Noi siamo ricchi, però nessuno di noi comprende veramente la natura e tu saresti l’ ideale per darci una mano: tu devi vagare per l’ Alto Adige, prenderti cura della natura e dirci cosa è bene e cosa è male. Se manterrai la promessa, io ti darò la libertà.” Io ho accettato la proposta e ora mi sto impegnando a eseguire i miei doveri.

I am a frog and I have gone through hard times. Many criticised me without giving me the opportunity to defend myself. Why did they crucify me? What wanted my artist (Martin Kippenberger) really say? Perhaps everybody should try to find an answer to that question before saying or doing something inappropriate, like the hunger strike of Franz Pahl. Thanks to the governor of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Luis Durnwalder I could prove myself as he told me: “If you want that I let you go after the exhibition, instead of putting you in the basement, you have to do good things and show people that you are a good frog and that you don’t want to do anything wrong. We are wealthy but none of us really understands the great outdoors and you would be the right one to help us: you have to go through South Tyrol and take care of nature, so that you can tell us what is right or wrong. If you stand to the agreement I will give you freedom!” I accepted the offer and now I am carrying out my duties.
